We had such a blast at this year’s Family Carnival Fun Day! Our good friends at KCWI and MORE 104 helped us pull off another successful event, and of course, we couldn’t have done it without all of you!
We had tons of awesome activities available for the young and young-at-heart, including an incredible balloon artist, a bouncy house, a towering inflatable slide and fun train rides! We also had our own midway with lots of fun prizes and games, including a putting green, a mini basketball hoop and more!
Here’s a fun, behind-the-scenes look at some of the numbers that went into making our carnival a hit:
1,000: cans of ice-cold pop.
375: amount of pop in quarts—that’s more than enough to fill a bathtub! (Please note: Homemakers does not encourage putting pop in a tub. We prefer actual bubble bath.)
100: estimated percentage of people who temporarily forgot about the sweltering August heat after one refreshing sip.
600: feet of Subway sandwiches prepared.
555: feet in height of the Washington Monument
19.19: seconds it would take Olympian Usain Bolt to sprint the length of our sandwiches laid out end-to-end
6,000: number of fun prizes available—approximately enough for the entire population of Audubon County!
Thanks for coming out and spending some quality time with us! We had so much fun, and we can’t wait to see you all at our next event!
