Have you heard about those new corduroy pillows?
They’re making headlines everywhere.
Let’s talk Halloween, once you’re done groaning. Bad jokes, candy and fun Halloween décor are all a part of the late October tradition. Here at Homemakers, we’re fond of all three.
Best Halloween Candy?
In a distinctly unscientific poll of the Homemakers advertising department, peanut butter cups got the crown as the favorite candy from childhood, narrowly edging out Butterfingers, Skittles, Kit Kats, 3 Musketeers and peanut M&Ms. It was a close count, so further taste tests might be necessary.
Halloween @ Homemakers
Speaking of sweets, we are excited for our annual Trick or Treat night this Thursday, Oct. 23 from 5-7 p.m. We’re teaming up with KCWI and Des Moines Radio Group to provide a safe (and warm!) event. Bring your costumed kiddos, follow a path through the store and score all sorts of treats and treasures. It’s free, family friendly and fun!
While you’re here, explore our selection of Halloween décor. These festive door hangers, featured in Lori’s Faves this month, add bright colors and whimsical fun to your front entrance.
Be sure to check out the Style Circle as well, located in front of the Treat Café. It’s full of Halloween essentials, including wall hangings, ornaments and throw pillows. Metal pumpkins and owls are illuminated from the inside with tea lights, giving another dimension to your décor, while spiky black trees offer a spooky setting for spiders or other creepy crawlies. Quantities are limited, so you’ll only find them here!
We hope to see you Thursday!
