We can’t believe summer is winding down and it’s time to start looking to fall trends and styles. This summer has been a fun one here at Homemakers Furniture. Our showroom floor has changed quite a bit; we are constantly evolving to stay up-to-date on the latest style and trends so that you can stay “in the know.”
We also held our ninth annual family carnival event and it was one of our most successful events to date! We love hanging out with our customers in a fun, family setting with games, bouncy houses, food and drinks and a train ride. There was even a balloon artist!

Nothing says summer like an Adirondack chair the size of an elephant… right? Walk in the front doors and you can’t help but notice the big, green Homemakers chair. Trust us, you can’t miss it! People come to Homemakers for the vast selection and incredible deals, but they always stay to take a picture on the HM chair. A quick search for #hmchair on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook shows that it’s not just kids- everyone loves the chair (and the supersized cocktail)!

Top Posts on HM ETC
If there is one thing HM etc. readers love, it’s the words of wisdom from an interior decorator! Two of our top three blog posts for summer were interviews with two local stylists: Jessica Rae and Hilary Prall. These dynamic ladies gave us insight into home decorating, how to make a difficult room work, how accessories can change the feel of a space and how to shop for furniture.
We discovered both ladies in our Instastylist series which puts the spotlight on local Homemakers customers. To be featured in the series, simply style your Homemakers furniture, post a photo on Instagram and tag us in it. We are always looking for fresh home inspiration and our customers are always fantastic sources of new style ideas!

The number one blog spot was snagged by the Jungalow style guide. This fierce interior design style was created by Justina Blakeney, an artist and furniture designer whose irreverent blend of tropical, boho and mid-century modern style has been blowing us away. Our guide explains exactly what Jungalow style is and how it easy it is for you to incorporate into your home.
