We love to feature our chicest pieces with this hashtag- all you need is wood furniture painted white! We like to bend the rules a little though so feel free to accent rich wood tones with pops of white if you don’t have painted pieces. We love this clean farmhouse-inspired look and it’s versatility- you can easily mix pieces for a modern industrial or rustic look. We’re excited that the collection of new pieces arriving to the showroom this month fit the woods and whites theme perfectly!

White has never looked so chic than with this collection of pieces. The crown jewel is the Flexsteel Catalina sectional, a six-piece study in multitasking comfort. Four out of six pieces have smooth power recline functions and they all have power adjustable headrests. Don’t worry, the fifth and sixth pieces are the corner wedge and console- something has to stay still! The divided backs add a pop of modern style and, as with all Flexsteel seating, this sectional is made with durable Blue Steel springs for longevity.
Gel-infused memory foam isn’t just for your best running shoes. It makes kicking back on the sofa for a long nap über comfortable. This sofa from Michael Nicholas Designs fits our white and wood furniture theme perfectly with the crisp white upholstery and dark feet- it would also look perfect in a coastal-inspired living room.
Sit/stand desks are a great way to shake up your work process. We’ve learned from ergonomics that alternating between sitting and standing is much better than just doing one for eight or more hours a day. Upgrade your work space with a desk that will change height at the touch of a button and still fits the wood and white aesthetic. Bonus points for the two-tone contrast!
If painted wood isn’t part of your design repertoire, no worries! You can still be part of #whitesandwoods with rich wood tones and pops of white.
The Taos five-piece collection from Int’l Furniture is the fantastic result of putting a rustic industrial twist on mid-century modern style. Hairpin legs and iron accents contrast beautifully with the two-toned parota wood. Simply use white dinnerware or add a white centerpiece for the accent color!
The rustic-industrial style blend continues into the Dimplex Thom fireplace. Nothing screams warm and cozy like a fireplace and rich wood tones, right? This media fireplace is the ultimate multipurpose piece: you have a place to stash media equipment and a TV while also warming up your living room and adding ambiance.
You don’t have to follow a rustic or modern rules to be part of #whitesandwoods, but we love the way the Heartstone collection from New Classic effortlessly combines the two styles. The poster bed has an upholstered headboard and nail head trim for an extra dash of style. The dresser and nightstand both feature metal bar pulls, felt-lined top drawers and full-extension glides. The warm caramel tone of all four pieces make this a perfect candidate for the “woods” half of #whitesandwoods.
So maybe you just can’t commit to the blank canvas that white presents. Or maybe a white sofa spells disaster to you in a house with kids and pets. The Dayton sectional from Michael Nicholas presents a versatile alternative: soft gray upholstery will match just about every color palette while a warm wood base and tapered feet will add the natural element needed for a #whitesandwoods piece. Psst, you can get away with it if you use white accent pillows like we have here!
If you already have white-painted wood furniture galore, then you may be looking for accent pieces. Both of these lamps from Stylecraft will provide modern metal accents to the clean, crisp palette of white wood. The Satin Black lamp features an intricate steel base in a (you guessed it) satin black finish. The Burke table lamp is a little more simplistic but no less stylish. The geometric glass-paned base is balanced by a crisp white drum shade.
