Twin Mattress Dimensions: 38” x 75”
The twin mattress is the smallest standard mattress money can buy (aside from crib mattresses). This mattress is ideal for kids and single adults. It’s also perfect for those living in small, compact spaces. This mattress is not a great choice for tall people or couples.
Twin XL Mattress
Twin XL Mattress Dimensions: 38” x 80”
The twin XL mattress is five inches longer than a twin, which accommodates taller people. You’ll more than likely find this mattress size in college dorms. The twin XL mattress is best for tall kids and single adults. It’s also the mattress of choice for couples who w It’s not a great choice for couples or individuals with pets.
Full Mattress Dimensions: 54” x 75”
Slightly larger than a full but smaller than a queen, a full mattress is a happy medium choice. The full mattress is ideal for young adults who are ready for a bit more space but don’t want to get a queen just yet. It’s also great for couples who don’t mind being close throughout the night or individuals who sleep with their pets. It’s not a good mattress for couples who like to spread out.
Queen Mattress Dimensions: 60” x 80”
The most common mattress size, the queen mattress fits well in standard size bedrooms and is just the right size for most couples. At 60 inches wide by 80 inches tall, this mattress is great for couples who like a little space or for individuals who like to spread out. It’s not necessarily the best choice for kids or people who live in small spaces.
King Mattress Dimensions: 76” x 80”
At 16 inches wider than a queen, a king mattress has plenty of room to share! This mattress is ideal for couples who prefer a lot of extra space and couples who sleep with children or pets. It’s not a great choice for kids, single adults or people who live in small spaces.
California King Mattress Dimensions: 72” X 84”
Looking for length? The California king has an extra four inches for those who are accustomed to “how’s the weather up there?” jokes. This mattress is perfect for tall couples who prefer more space than a queen or couples who sleep with a large dog at the foot of their bed. It’s not ideal for couples who don’t need the extra length, single adults or people who live in small spaces.
